As part of our expansion plans, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Office Manager to oversee our trucking and distribution operations on a global scale.

Job Description: As the Global Supply Chain Trucking and Distribution Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective management of our trucking and distribution operations across multiple locations. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to transportation, logistics, and supply chain management. Your primary focus will be on optimizing efficiency, minimizing costs, and maintaining high-quality service standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of the trucking and distribution industry, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize trucking and distribution operations globally.
  • Coordinate and manage transportation logistics, including route planning, scheduling, and load optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, warehousing, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination of supply chain activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and standards for trucking and distribution.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of trucking and distribution staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and systems.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the trucking and distribution industry, preferably in a global context.
  • Strong knowledge of global supply chain management practices, regulations, and trends.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
